This is cheap and delicious to make.

Ingredients:
300g dried chickpeas (soak in water 8 hours before you cook it)
2 lemons
Salt
Pepper
1 tbsp Chili powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 litre water
3 tbsp olive oil
5 garlic cloves chopped
2 carrots chopped
2 Bay leaves
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 2 hours
Serves: 6-8
Method:
Step.1: In a large pot on a low heat, add the olive oil, chopped garlic and carrots and saute for 3 minutes.
Step. 2: Wash and drain the chickpeas and add to the pot and stir. Add the water, herbs and spices and squeeze the lemons with a fork above the pot, so that the juices land in the pot. Drizzle with olive oil and cover, stir occasionally.
Tip: You will know it is ready when the chickpea is Al dente to soft.
Tip: If you feel that you need more water, just add 1 more cup of water.
