Bibimbap is a Korean dish that traditionally makes up of vegetables such as cucumber, shitake mushrooms, kimchi, beef, rice, egg, courgettes and beansprouts.
However, if you want to narrow it down to the basics and make something quick and easy, then check out this recipe.

Ingredients:
5 tbsp Sesame oil
5 tsp sesame
Half a Cucumber
1 carrot
5 mushrooms
2 eggs
1 cup of short grain white rice
Salt
Optional: soy sauce
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves: 2
Method:
Step. 1: Heat the rice according to its cooking instructions on the back of the packet. Cut the Cucumber into slices and soak in salted water for 20 minutes.
Step. 2: Cut the carrot into slices and cut the mushrooms. Add them together to a bowl and season with the sesame and sesame oil.
Step. 3: Once the rice is cooked, drain it and leave it to cool on the side. Drain the salted water from the cucumber and then season it with sesame and sesame oil.
Step. 4: Cook the carrots and mushrooms for 5-7 minutes in a frying pan. Then set it aside and fry the eggs.
Step. 5: Add the rice in the bowl, then carefully place the cucumber on top on the side. Do the same for the carrots and mushrooms, making sure that they’re seperate. Then add the the fried egg on top.
Tip: if you live in a country that has kimchi, then add kimchi on the side too.
Optional:
You can make a sauce with soy sauce, sesame oil and sesame and then drizzle it on top.
