This is an easy midweek meal recipe for those who love bacon, ham and pasta. Don’t worry, there’s your 5 a day in there too.

Prep time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 15 minutes Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1 carton of double cream
1 packet of Tenderstem broccoli cut into small chunks
4 rashers of bacon cut into small pieces
4 slices of ham cut into small pieces
1 red onion chopped finely
1 clove of garlic chopped finely
salt and pepper for seasoning
1 tsp of olive oil
1 packet of spaghetti
Method:
Step 1. Boil the spaghetti according to the instructions on the packet. Heat the olive oil in the frying pan on a medium heat and add the garlic and onion. Let it cook for 5 minutes until fragrant.
Step 2. Add the bacon and ham into the frying pan. Once they have cooked, add the broccoli. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3. Once the broccoli is cooked, add the double cream and lower the heat. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until it is cooked all the way through. Drain the spaghetti once it is ready. Serve this heavenly combination together and enjoy.
Tip: Add a little bit of olive oil to the drained spaghetti; it stops the spaghetti from sticking together and gives it a boost for flavour.
Looks so good
