Everybody loves an omelette, especially when you can add any toppings you like into it. I decided to come up with a healthy and filling meal at such a low cost. Behold, I give you a delicious and simple recipe; chorizo and broccoli egg white omelette!
Serves 2 – prep time. 10 minutes cooking time. 20 minutes
1 packet of Chorizo sausage or slices
1 washed Broccoli
6 egg whites (3 eggs each person per serving)
1 tsp Cinnamon
A dash of milk
1. Heat up the frying pan with vegetable oil. Chop the broccoli and chorizo into small pieces and then place into the frying pan. Preheat the grill to maximum.
2. Let the chorizo and broccoli cook in the frying pan. Tip: In order to cook the ingredients quicker, place a saucepan lid on top and let it cook.
3. Beat the egg whites with the Cinnamon, salt, pepper and milk. Then pour the egg white mix into the frying pan and put the saucepan lid on top to let it cook for 5 minutes.
4. Once the mixture starts to bubble in the frying pan, place it in the grill and let it cook until it browns. You can let it cook for as long as you like, as long as the egg white is cooked properly along with the chorizo and broccoli. Tip: If you’re unsure if it’s cooked or not, it should look like the texture of a fried egg.
